I can't recommend Joel Brown highly enough. I came to him after firing my previous attorney, in the middle of a nightmare situation involving a false order of protection and a misdemeanor charge that should never have been filed. Joel took over a case that was already messy and turned it around completely.
He got the misdemeanor case dismissed twice. The first time wasn't enough for the prosecution, who refiled with no new evidence, and Joel got it dismissed again. Then he took the order of protection case to a full hearing and won. The judge's ruling made clear what Joel had been saying from the start, that the petitioner had no actual evidence of anything threatening or illegal.
What stood out to me about Joel was his calm confidence throughout the process. When I was spiraling about every new development, he kept me grounded. He understood Will County courts and judges in a way that only comes from years of experience there. He knew which battles to fight and which to let play out. His communication style is direct and to the point, which I came to appreciate. He doesn't waste your time with over-explaining, and he absolutely shows up when it counts.
His partner Greg Reeder handled the early criminal side with the same excellence, including getting a frivolous arrest warrant quashed within hours of it being issued. The two of them work as a team and it shows.
If you're facing false allegations or a criminal case in Will County, you want Joel Brown in your corner. He saved my reputation, my record, and my sanity. Worth every penny.

Joel Brown and his firm has represented me back in 2017 and again 2025. I called 4 firms. In the beginning our relationship started based on after hour weekend phone call in 2017. He didn't charge me for consultation. If anything he took my case very personal. Again I needed him this year 2025 and again on a weekend after hours... Mr. Brown is extremely professional and personable and helped me with any questions and concerns I ever had about my case and would break it down as much as need be for me to understand what I was being told. At first I was extremely scared of what would come of everything I was facing, but once I had my first evaluation meeting with Joel. I was at ease. The result of the case was very satisfactory. I still have a very real option of a great and bright future from the way Joel handled my case. If you are having doubts about just hiring another random lawyer that you aren't 100% sure if they will do everything for you and your best interests.
